A crisis nowadays brings out the hardcore working women in positions of leadership. Unfortunately, that’s the only time we really see them in wide media, as they are certainly not pop stars, singers, actors, dancers, and two-bit celebs and such.

Two we met yesterday, via mass media, were District of Columbia Police Chief, Cathy Lanier, and Dr. Janis M. Orlowski, chief operating officer at Washington Hospital Center.

Youths, these are the faces of career women in positions of genuine leadership. Not made-up and styled-up for a TV show or a date-night-out, but caught out doing their jobs. And in a crisis at that.

There’s your reality show.

Wikipedia Needs Women!

A mere 13% of the entries within the invaluable, online, open encyclopedia Wikipedia are written by women. This needs to change! I urge all women business owners to get in there and get an entry about themselves/their company on Wikipedia. If you need someone to write it for you, contact me. Now. Let’s change this critical, interactive, participatory, FREE and very important dynamic.

Despite news from places such as the douchbags windbags at The Georgia Gang that Obama has “pulled out” of Georgia like he was some kinda dubious date, the Obama campaign has not given up on Georgia. In fact, the reality is anything but.
