Why does WABE allow Lois to remain, when the listeners are obviously and overwhelmingly annoyed by her voice and delivery? My donations have decreased significantly. Not even one of my friends can stand her voice.

It could be worse. FoxNews is owned by the same media conglomerate that not only owns the Wall Street Journal, but it also owns the Dow Jones! It essentially is a part of the problem itself, so you can understand why they would not want to give the protests a positive light.

Two years later, and Lois Reitzes is still there. It is so sickening. At 8:50 every weekday morning I hear her discusting voice and make a dive for my radio to shut it off. Please…somebody…stop this madness.

I would dearly love to listen to NPR weekday mornings, but until Lois is gone, that just is not going to happen.

Yes I think it is every Americans right to have access to the internet. I read that low income families would get a voucher for a low cost computer. This is the business I’m in is to provide custom computers for any price. The internet is such a growing and integral part or society and school that it makes sens to help as many Americans get on the net.

I was really excited and gratified to see the APS communications office take the foundation we laid for social media and expand on it. By the time I left as the print & digital writer in March, we’d built a Twitter following of about 1,700 and readership on the Talk Up APS blog to an average of about 800 daily page views. (Both were opened in 2009.) The YouTube channel we’d launched along the way, featuring the professionally made videos by Scott King and my own amateur stuff grew as well. While disagree that APS finally has embraced social media, I’m heartened to see it embrace the potential a more transparent social media philosophy (one you probably don’t see in most school districts). I’m also grateful the Facebook page is kept up more consistently, as your main point about “tending the garden” is key. It will be interesting to see how much this consistency is maintained moving forward — not just under the interim superintendent, but also under the permanent superintendent, and whoever is chosen to fill the still-vacant chief communications officer position. — David Lee
